Powergrip HD Clutch sets

Powergrip HD sets are the ultimate for extreme street/strip performance.  Using our proprietary 900 series friction material in conjunction with increased clamp load pressure plates, you get maximum holding power for track or street, with only minimal reduction in driveability.  This is the set for big power street cars!  Some chatter will occur on takeoff.  Use only with RAM billet steel or factory nodular iron (explosion resistant) flywheels.

Street Dual Clutch Systems

RAM clutches proudly introduces our dual disc clutch system for late and early model muscle cars.  The assembly consists of an aluminum flywheel, easy pedal effort diaphragm pressure plate, 300 series friction material, and a special floater plate and retainer system that virtually eliminates floater plate rattle.  Holding capacity for this clutch is in excess of 1000 hp, yet the engagement is silky smooth thanks to the 300 series friction material.  Now you do not have to deal with on/off switch clutches for your high horsepower street machine!  The system works with the factory release mechanisms.

Cast flywheels are not explosion-proof, and can be dangerous when used in high-performance applications at higher rpms. RAM billet steel flywheels are recommended as replacements for factory-cast flywheels in high-performance and racing vehicles. They´re better for launching heavier drag race cars and provide better drivability in street vehicles. RAM billet steel flywheels are CNC-machined from certified materials, and friction surfaces are Blanchard-ground parallel to the crankshaft mounting flange, for minimum runout and optimum clutch engagement. These flywheels are SFI-approved. 26lbs

RAM-2550

If you´re building an all-out competition car, you need a lightweight flywheel that will allow the engine to rev quicker and not eat up a lot of power. RAM billet aluminum flywheels greatly reduce rotating weight, to permit quicker revving and higher power output, but still retain enough mass to resist heat distortion that could adversely affect clutch performance. These flywheels are CNC-machined from certified materials and have a rugged steel friction-surface insert. The insert is Blanchard-ground parallel to the crankshaft flange after installation, to minimize runout and provide the optimum clutch-mating surface. These flywheels are SFI-approved. 18lbs      

Most tracks require a driveshaft safety loop for cars running faster than 12.99 in the quarter. This NHRA approved loop bolts onto the floorpan using existing floorpan mounting holes. No drilling or welding required. Tunnel crossbrace is designed with a drop down to accomodate lower aftermarket exhaust and y-pipes. 

Recommended changing if current slave cylinder has over 50,000 miles when doing a clutch install.

In addition to minimizing rotational power losses, carbon fiber´s unique vibration dampening characteristics also help improve power output. Engine builder´s are familiar with the power gains that high performance crank dampeners can provide. ACPT´s carbon fiber driveshafts give you similar benefits by cutting power losses due to drivetrain vibration.
